This is also part of our process getting ready for the Itotia Dance Festival. Please join us on this work towards self-mastery via movement exploration, writing, and communal gathering. “DALUYAN: Embodied Storytelling Workshop investigates the ancestral memory that lives within our corporeal being through movement, writing, and performance ritual - facilitated by SAMMAY. How do we cultivate a relationship of healing to our personal and intergenerational traumas in order to realize our most whole Self? How can we thereby access the inherent joy and ancestral resilience that already lives inside of us? Participants will gather to explore how one can interweave these forms in service to our healing of Self, Lineage, and Community. 4 hours of pangalay for movement meditation on Saturday. This is where I’m at in my practice these days— longevity, listening, longer breaths, and natural unfolding. You can watch if you want, or join in, ask questions, cut through our distance. I felt elated afterwards. We will do more. . Working through a synthesis of b-girling, breakdancing, culinary science, wordsmithing, melodic harmonizing, zine-making, and material curating—Paru’s creative unfolding is unique to her DNA map, showing us a way of living that honors our natural curiousities and cross-pollinations. .
