Sadsad at San Jose Church the night before the Dinagyang Festival.
I’ve been honest with everyone in that I’m not religious; however I’m spiritual and I chant daily. I pray for the world’s tallest mountain— Mauna Kea, waters, people, and animals to be restored to their true splendor. I also respect the place I’m in and practices of connection with a greater force.
Our local guide in Iloilo is an excellent public servant, spent 8 years in the seminary, and a professor of history and philosophy. It was my honor to talk story on our greater source, threads that weave us together, healing journeys, balik ugat, and so much more. It’s my absolute favorite to find common ground for a larger purpose, as it speaks to our sacred unknown. I look forward to sharing with y’all through my art and conversations. Salamat Iloilo. I’ll be back.
